What the basque: 15. WTB: Consumer Associations
Kaixo listeners of What the Basque!! This week, we bring you a program about Consumers Cooperatives and responsible consuming. We talk to Dornaku from Labore Txingudi who will tell us more about her association, a consumer group that is trying to change the way people consume, produce and eat in Irun. Then we will go back to Gasteiz to speak to Idoia from Bio Alai another association which is trying to reconnect people with biological agriculture by promoting a more responsible way of consuming food.
In Hala Bedi Method, we will present you the Basque-Icelandic pidgin, a sort of simple language that was invented by Basque and Icelandic people in the 17th century in order to exchange goods. We will explain the meaning of some of the words they used to interact with each other using that pidgin.
Finally, in Nor-Nori-News, we will bring you the latest news from the Basque Country. Although some good news start to come about Basque prisoner´s dispersion… It´s really tough over here yet.
This programme is produced in Hala Bedi radio, in the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, and it’s broadcast on Tuesdays (19:00-20:00). Also broadcast in Melbourne, the last Friday of every month, by 3CR. We want to say hello to our friends in Australia! 3CR Community Radio, don’t give up the fight!!
